Hepatitis Support Group

St. Louis Gastroenterology Consultants sponsors a support group for patients infected with hepatitis C and hepatitis B, their families and friends. Started in 2004, our support group, organized by our hepatitis nurse, Mary Anne Gadell CGRN is the only hepatitis support group in the St. Louis area.

Mission Statement

Our support group will provide counseling, education and emotional support for patients and families to enable well being both emotionally and physically. This will be accomplished by exchange of knowledge, personal experiences, and guest speakers. We wish to create a positive environment enhancing attitude and inspiration to overcome adversities.

In addition to Mary Anne, our dedicated team also includes our physicians. Guest speakers including visiting physicians, nurse specialists, dieticians and mental health specialists make our support group an outstanding resource for patients with chronic liver disease. We encourage all patients, including those not associated with our practice, to attend. Dinner is provided. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at our main office located on St. Anthony’s Medical Center campus.
